Tips to pack a carry-on bag

People ask me what I pack in my carry-on when I hit the friendly skies. Here’s the list…

—————-
LO & SONS BAGS: The O.G.2 carry-on is lightweight. There’s helpful pockets to carry all your items, even a place for shoes. I love the back panel sleeve that slips over the suitcase handle!
Another Lo & Sons bag is the Rowledge backpack. It’s stylish look with leather handles make it perfect to use as a purse when traveling. Like the O.G.2, it has numerous interior pockets to keep items organized.

PILLOW & BLANKET: Airlines do offer these in coach class.
—————–
VAPUR: Bottled water is a no-no through security. This Vapur pouch can be rolled up empty and fastened with its clip onto your carry-on. Once through TSA you fill it with one liter of H2O.

—————–
JEWELRY ROLL: I like to carry my jewelry with me, so I pack it in this travel jewelry roll that doesn’t take much room.
—————-
PASSPORT: When traveling outside of the country.
—————-
CELL PHONE: If you’re going abroad it’s best to include international roaming on your phone. Most cell carriers have numerous plans to choose from. I use my phone a lot when traveling to place calls, texts, and search the internet. Because of this, I choose the roaming option. It is seamless to add the service to your device before traveling.

Contact your service provider and ask them to add the international roaming feature. Give them the dates you’ll be traveling and the destination.

I have AT&T. The cost is $10 a day. Worth every penny for the ease of using the phone as I would at home.

Or, Skyroam Global Wifi Hotspot keeps you connected around the world, and it’s small enough to pack in your carry-on. You don’t have to rely on roaming, cafes or hotels.

CELL PHONE EXTENDED BATTERY: Mophie has a battery case that attaches directly onto the phone like a case. All you do is flip a button when you’re running low and, voila, you have 100% more battery life.
Apple has an external battery that attaches magnetically to the back of an iPhone. The MagSafe has a sleek profile making it unobtrusive when using.

BOOK: Enough said.
——————
WALLET: For in flight purchases and ID.
——————
EAR PLUGS: These are imperative on long flights when you want to curl up and snooze. I’ve tried many different kinds. The most comfortable, effective ones are Mack’s silicone earplugs.  Engine noise, talking, snoring etc. is blocked. Drop a few pairs in your carry-on.

——————-
HAND SANITIZER: Post-COVID the risk of germs when flying is on our minds. I’m super vigilant about keeping my hands sanitized. There are countless sanitizers out there, but I prefer a spray version. These Touchland power mists do the trick, and smell good, too.
——————–
WIPES: Good to refresh your face, etc. before landing. All Natural Herban Essentials towelettes smell SO good! They’re made with orange, lemon, lavender, mint, & eucalyptus oils.

——————–
CLEAR PACK BAG: I use a clear, durable TSA approved pouch to store breath mints, chap stick, eye drops, hand cream, medications, etc. in my carry-on.
——————–
DEODORANT: I found a wonderful small, natural solid stick with no aluminum or no parabens, with aloe as the main ingredient. And it works !! Lavanila deodorant is small enough to pack in your carry-on to use after a long flight.

———————
LAPTOP: Both the Lo & Son’s O.G.2 and Rowledge backpack have padded pockets for your computer. Don’t forget to take all the cords and earbuds for your electronics. Also, d
on’t forget the 3-1-1 rule for carry-ons. Liquids must be 3.4 oz. or smaller, fit in a one quart plastic bag, and one bag per passenger.

Bon Voyage! Enjoy your trip!
