I myself visited the 5th arrondissement to see her apartment and Gabriel’s restaurant — L’Esprit de Gigi. It was exciting! In real life the eatery is actually an Italian red-fronted bistro named Terra Nera. New Zealand experienced a tourism boom after The Lord of the Rings showcased it’s dramatic landscapes. Similarly, Dubrovnik became a must see destination for fans of Game of Thrones. Although I haven’t watched the show, I visited the gorgeous historic city and felt like I was in another era. Medieval walls have become globally recognizable as King’s Landing in the series. Those who enjoyed HBO’s series White Lotus filmed in Taormina, Sicily will find the town irresistible with it’s seaside cliffs, glamorous hotels, and charming boutiques. I stopped for a quick overnight visit, and thoroughly enjoyed roaming the cobblestone streets seen in the show. The classic movie Rocky is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary. Travelers still visit the city of brotherly love and reenact running up the Philadelphia Museum of Art icon steps. Hidden Figures’ 2017 film about three brilliant African-American mathematicians working at NASA during the space race takes place in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Those who saw the film will want to stop at the Kennedy Space Center visitor complex Heroes and Legends section.
